Extremities Adjusting in Royal Oak

Your extremities can become injured easily due to everything from falls to sports injuries. At Van Every Family Chiropractic Center, we see a lot of patients with sprains and strains. Dr. Saylor and her colleagues adjust all the extremities.

Relief After One Adjustment

With a single adjustment, we can take away 60-70% of the pain of a sprain. We use the gentle Koren Specific Technique (KST) and tools to adjust around the extremities.

Dr. Saylor does a lot of adjusting when a person is in motion. For example, if your ankle hurts, she will have you put some weight on it so she can adjust it to clear it up even faster. Perhaps you have tennis elbow. She will adjust you in action as if you’re swinging a tennis racquet.

If someone says, “It hurts when I do this,” we tell them to do it, and we will adjust them while they’re performing the action so the pain can go away. Our goal is to break up scar tissue with multiple adjustments.

Help for Many Foot Problems

There are more bones in your feet than in your back. Any of those foot bones can get out of position. We see a lot of people with plantar fasciitis and heel spurs, so we adjust the feet to correct those issues. Many soccer players with sprained ankles also come into the practice for help.

The Foot-Organ Connection

You may not know it, but your feet connect to every organ. So if you’re having a foot issue, you also could be having a gallbladder problem but not even be aware of it. As your feet are the foundation of your body, keeping them healthy also can help keep your body healthy.

Positional Adjustments

We do a lot of positional adjusting. For example, one of Dr. Saylor’s patients plays the piano and would experience discomfort. She would adjust his fingers in the piano playing position, and now he can play even better!
